Control your phone without touching it…

Small update for v1.05

I had a major blonde moment while finishing up that last update so I had to push a new version to the market. Nothing really noticeable, but I did change the layout a little bit.

Update: This update will be the last time I delete your settings. Alas, I have found a way to save all of your information reliably. It will not be automatic though. When you see that there is an update, you will need to go to your settings and click backup and then restore after you have downloaded the new version. It’s better than nothing right?

Anyways keep the ideas coming. I have made so many changes based on what everyone is saying here so I am definitely listening! Just a reminder, I am having major issues with shortcuts right now so it may be a while before those are added to Prox. But I will never quit. They will be there eventually. I think shortcut launching will make Prox infinitely more useful. Auto calling and texting, directions, and maybe it will make other app developers develop shortcuts for their apps. Who knows :)

Hi. I’ve been trying to get Prox on my EVO for the past few days. On device market, I can’t even see the app. On the web Market, I can see both apps (free and paid), but it tells me the apps are not “compatible with (my) device.”

Is this still due to the screweyness that Market has been going through, or does Prox just not work on the EVO?

I’ll be more than happy to pay my two bucks if it works, but I can’t get access to any version right now.

Little help would go a long way.

    Thanks in advance,

Hmmm, that is interesting. I have quite a few EVO users already and I have no clue why it’s not letting you download it. I have recently added an XML tag to my manifest that requires your phone to have an actual proximity sensor because some phones use their ambient light sensors as proximity sensors. Phones that have this kind of sensor don’t work really well because the algorithm to detect proximity is not really all that dependable. I want you to be able to at least try it though. If you send me your email, then I’ll send you the Lite version apk to see how it works with your phone. Send it to sempergumbee@gmail.com and we’ll see how it goes :)
